Guacamole is a popular Mexican avocado dip. This recipe is easy to make with simple ingredients and great flavor! My daughter’s favorite!
Tip – leave couple of the pits in the container when refrigerating… to keep it green.
Ingredients:
- 4 Haas avocados, halved, pitted and peeled
- 1 lime, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
- 1/2 medium sweet onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
Directions:
1- Scoop the avocado meat into a mixing bowl.
2- Add lime juice and using a sharp knife, slice through the avocados until they are finely diced.
3- Add onion, garlic, jalapeño, salt and pepper, toss to coat.
4- Fold in the tomatoes and chopped cilantro. Taste for seasoning.
