This is a great recipe for a delicious, healthy, nutritious desert or snack that is so easy to make. They satisfies your sweet tooth while providing energy and vitamins for your overall health. They are a great substitute for energy bars. Perfect paleo and gluten free snack!
Note: Use Medjool dates, since they are more moist and sticky.
Optional add ins: Dried cherry, almond, apricot, cranberry, pecan, dried apple, cinnamon, walnuts, chia seeds, chocolate chips, ground cardamoms, mini dark chocolate chips.

Add all the ingredients to the food processor and pulse until it start to stick together and ball up in the processor.

Spread the mixture between two pieces of parchment paper and pressed it together until it forms a thick square.

Cut into desired size of bars and shapes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pitted dates, chopped
  • 3/4 cup any desired nuts (I used walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits, any dried fruits you like(I used apricots)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)
  • Directions:

    Add all the ingredients to the food processor and pulse until it start to stick together and ball up in the processor (times will vary depending on the power of your processor). Be patient, if you don’t process the ingredients long enough, your mix might not stick together.

    Spread the mixture between two pieces of parchment paper and pressed it together until it forms a thick square. You can also use parchment paper to mold down in a glass container for easy removal. Wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.

    Cut into desired size of bars and shapes; wrap each bar in plastic wrap and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
